Public Announcement: Postponement of the 10th Year Coronation Anniversary of Olofa

Postponement of the 10th Year Coronation Anniversary of His Royal Majesty, Oba (Alhaji) Mufutau Gbadamosi Oloyede, Ajagungbade I, Esuwoye II, The Olofa of Offa. (9th May 2010- 9th May 2020)

This is to notify the general public that the planned celebration of the 10th year Coronation Anniversary of His Royal Majesty , Oba (Alhaji) Mufutau Gbadamosi Oloyede the Olofa of Offa has been postponed indefinitely.

This decision becomes imperative in view of the recent global health pandemic that has engulfed the whole world with attendant loss of lives and severe impact on our economy and our way of life.

Consequently, His Royal Majesty has called upon his subjects, friends of Offa and all men of goodwill to join him in prayers and to commiserate with all those who lost their lives in the country as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic and pray that may Almighty Allah repose their soul ameen.

His Majesty is thankful to Almighty Allah for his grace and mercy on his immediate family and the loving people of Offa land .

He is using this occasion to appeal to all and sundry to take nececessary precautionary measures as advocated and prescribed by the State government and the Nigeria Center for Disease Control. We should do everything possible to stay alive and save our people.from the scourge of Covid-19. His Royal Majesty also commended all our health workers (Doctors, Nurses and paramedicals) who have been in the Frontline of these crisis, for their hardwork resilience, commitment and diligence to duty.

He prays that the Almighty God will reward them and keep them safe too.

He appreciates the support of all offa sons and daughters for their donations and all other donors for their sacrifices. The Offa community is overwhelmed by their kind gestures. Individuals and groups also from all walks of life who sent numerous gifts of foods items and monies that have been distributed to the needy, the poor, the elderly and the vulnerable. His Royal Majesty is grateful to all and pray that your labour of love will not be in vain. He prays for the continuance of Allah's Rahma in their lives ameen.

Furthermore, His Majesty extends his gratitudes to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kwara State and his cabinet for the timely decision taken to avert the spread of Covid-19 in the State.

He commended the various law enforcement agencies for living up to their responsibility in maintaining law and order and working tirelessly to ensure full compliance with state government directives.

His Royal Majesty enjoin all and sundry to continue to adhere to the basic health instructions, including washing of hands with soap regularly, use of sanitizers, use of face masks and most importantly observe the recommended social distancing. May Allah Bless and protect us all, ameen.
