Kwara united stoutly rejects coach Bala's resignation

The management of Kwara United Football Club of Ilorin has called on coach Bala Abubakar to with immediate effect return to his duty post, as he is still deemed a bonafide employee of the club, despite his purported resignation. The call was made during a press conference addressed by the club's chairman, Prince Oladimeji Ladi-Thompson at the club's secretariat, inside Kwara Stadium complex.

Prince Oladimeji said, as a matter of fact, the coach has been paid his salary and allowances till the end of the season, which means he is still under contractual obligation with the club. The chairman also urged the Niger State-born coach to, if he wants to resign, follow the appropriate procedure and return all the entitlements he has taken in advance, and a duly signed letter of resignation, properly addressed to the club's secretariat.

On the issue of players' remuneration, the chairman said arrangement has been concluded, by the State Governments, to ensure that the the two months arrears of salaries and allowances are cleared with a view to motivating the boys to put their best to ensure that the team escapes the drop.

The chairman also promised to elevate to the main team, 4 boys from among the Kwara United Under-15 team that that came 2nd in the recently-concluded La-Liga Under-15 Promises completion, as a way of encouraging Iother young talents that abound in the State.
