In this report, OLADIPO MAGAJI x-rays Kwara governor Abdulfatah Ahmed's developmental stride in the southern part of the state.

The Kwara state governor, Alh Abdulfatah Ahmed during his inauguration on May 29, 2011 pledged to ensure every part of the state to benefit from the available resources to government by implementing developmental projects while ensuring a continuity of legacy. In doing that, the state government has spread projects to all three senatorial districts, including Kwara South.

Looking back to over seven years of Governor Ahmed's administration in the state of harmony, it's evident that the governor has performed well based on resources available to the state government.

Indeed, Governor Ahmed has touched all senatorial districts in the state positively as most local governments in the state either have an ongoing or completed project.

Precisely, Kwara South senatorial district, that comprises seven local government areas, have benefited immensely from programmes and projects of incumbent administration.

Coincidentally, he has executed over 200 projects in Kwara south within seven years in virtually all sectors from road, education, health, energy and water.

The governor in pursuit of continuity agenda completed projects inherited from his predecessor to avoid having abandoned projects in the state as well as jump starting new projects.

Some of the projects completed by Governor Ahmed's administration in Kwara South include; Construction of Eruku-Koro road, Ekiti LGA, Rehabilitation of three Damaged Schools at Share, Completion and equipping of Rehabilitation Centre Amayo, Offarese Primary Health Centre, Ifelodun LGA, Construction of College of Nursing and Midwifery, Oke-ode (Female Hostel), Construction of Omu-Aran township-landmark university road, Irepodun Primary Health Centre, Arandun, Irepodun LGA and Rural Electrification works of Kabba Kajola.

Furthermore, the Ahmed led administration initiated some projects based on issues given priority by different communities. For instance, the state government constructed blocks of classrooms, VIP toilets in schools, Staff rooms, school halls, built and renovated many primary health centres, equipped health facilities with drugs, drilled motorized boreholes with 20,000 litres capacity storex in some communities, rehabilitated and constructed new roads, with over 30 road projects delivered by Governor Ahmed in the zone.

Similarly, transformers were installed in some communities to actualise rural electrification policy of the administration. Findings revealed over 40 transformers have been distributed to towns/villages within seven years.

Analysis of projects executed in Kwara South by the dynamic governor shows that Ifelodun-the largest council in the state got over 50 projects, followed by Ifelodun with 43, while Ekiti recorded 25 and about 20 in Oke-ero. Offa had 18 projects while Oyun and Isin got about 10 projects each.
