Unilorin Mass Comm Celebrates Azeez
The Immediate past Head, Department of Mass Communication, University of Ilorin, Dr. Luqman Azeez has been described as a humble, hardworking, caring and down to heart creature of God who has been blessed with lots of talents by Allah.
These were the submissions by members of staff, students and alumnus of the department of Mass Communication, University of Ilorin during a meritorious service award programme organized in honor of the immediate past Head of the department.
In his welcome message, the new Head of Department Barrister Mahmud Abdulraheem said whatever one does today it is for the future. He said it is a dis-service to man not to recognize excellence and that is why the department is celebrating the honoree.
Alhaji Mahmud described the former HOD as a humble person while commending him for his efforts at making the department run well as he has done a lot for the department. He prayed God to grant him long life continuous success.
While speaking on behalf of the members of staff, Alhaji Liadi Tella described Dr. Azeez as a down-to earth person who is a special creature from Allah, endowed with humility and dedication which are un common.
He said Dr. Azeez is a lover of his students who care so much about them and has so much affection for them. Alhaji Tella while praying for the former HOD described him as a personification of excellence.
While responding Dr. Lukman Azeez appreciated the entire members of staff and students of the department of Mass Communication. He described the department as a model for all others while expressing his delight that the department keeps setting the pace for others to follow.
Dr. Azeez dedicated his award to a collogue Mr. Mustapha Lambe who encouraged him to come to the University of Ilorin as well as the Vice Chancellor of the University Professor Is-haq Oloyede for believing so much in him as if not for him he might not have ever been the HOD talk less of being celebrated.
