A member representing Edu/Moro/Patigi Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Mr Aliyu Ahman-Pategi, has constituted 60 Elders' Committee in his constituency.

The committee, he said, has been entrusted with the responsibility of serving as an intermediary between him and his constituents with a view to bringing more democratic dividends to the people.

Ahman-Pategi, who chairs the House Committee on Water Resources, made this known after a closed door meeting he held with APC Elders' Forum of Moro Local Government Area of Kwara State.

He informed that the meeting was summoned to address issues among party members and proffer the way forward.

The lawmaker admonished party members to work together as one team and ignore issues that would distract the party from attaining its set goals.

He promised to continue to operate an open door policy, adding that their suggestions and advices would be given desired consideration at all times.

Some members of the committee at the meeting, assured the lawmaker of their support and cooperation to successfully pilot the affairs of the constituency.

They commended him for several developmental projects, which spread across the constituency, particularly in the provision of portable water and road construction and called for more.
