Date: 2017-04-08

A Consultant Engineer, Mr. Bashir Atunde lawal has attributed the current economic wobble in the country to lack of cultural value and skilled manpower to manage and utilize the available resources.

Engineer Bashir Lawal who is the Managing Director of BAL Engineering Construction Company, gave this indication while fielding questions from journalists in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.

He called on Nigerians to go back to the roots to gain back its lost glory.

According to him, youths should be skillful and ready to acquire the necessary skills that will be used to ultilize the available resources in the country.

Engineer Bashir Lawal also called on parents not to neglect their responsibility of catering for their children, through proper training and attention in order to be good ambassadors of their families, communities and the Nation at large.

He therefore enjoined Nigerians to embrace the cultural, norms and the values of their society rather than practicing the modern inherited way of life.

Engineer Lawal explains " our cultural value has been eroded, there is need to revive it. Traditional rulers, community and religious leaders should collaborate to bring back the lost glory of our cultural values. They should notify the constituted authorities on how to restore it".

As a way of reviving the cultural value which has been eroded, he said asked Traditional rulers, Religious and Community leaders to play significant roles towards reviving the cultural value and norms of the society to ensure sanity.

" Religious leaders should practice what the holy books says, they should be godly and righteousness. They should know that they will account for everything in life", he said.

He called on government at all levels to create an avenue where community leaders and religious leaders could voice out their opinions on matters affecting the state and the way out of the current situation in the country.

Engineer Bashir lawal also implored Nigerians to encourage and support the government in running the affairs of the state and also keep to the laid down rules and regulations of the state to promote unity and progress in the country.
