TIC, blessing for Kwara APGA

The Kwara State chapter of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has said the postponement of the local government election was a blessing for the party.

Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed recently inaugurated the Transition Implementation Committee (TIC) in the state citing paucity of funds to conduct local government The National Vice-chairman of APGA for North Central, Engr. Sule Ajayi who spoke to Pilot Politics on telephone from Abuja noted that APGA would use the period to reposition the party for better performance in the subsequent elections in the state.

He said while the party had been silent over many issues in the state was because of the differences that was being experience within the party.

He however expressed optimism in the resolution of the crisis noting that the road is now clear for the APGA to participate competitively with other political parties in any election in the state.

According to him, APGA is preparing vigorously to field a candidate in the forthcoming local government poll.

He said the postponement of the poll had given APGA ample time to truly prepare in going about getting the right candidate for each position in the election. "There has been series of speculations before now about the poll but we learnt that election would come next year, we are preparing to stage our candidates for the poll.

"We were having internal wrangling before which has deterred us in a way but we have resolved and surely we will have representations in the government this time around." Ajayi noted. Also, the former chairman of the party in the state also debunked the speculations that the party has gone into oblivious in the state.

"The party is on ground, very much in existence, we hold our meetings as we ought to, so what could have made the party go into extinction?. "Very soon, we will bring our preparations to the notice of the people and they will see that APGA is more ready than before." he said.
