The Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU) has described the appointment of Mallam Modibbo Ishaq Kawu as the Director- General of the National Broadcasting Commission as well deserved.

The union expressed confidence in the ability of Kawu to take the NBC to enviable greater height.

In a congratulatory message to Kawu, IEDPU said it received the news of his appointment with gratitude to Allah.

The congratulatory message signed by Arc. Moyo Uthman, National 1st Assistant Secretary stated that,"On behalf of the entire Ilorin Emirate Community, IEDPU NEC hereby felicitates with you, your immediate and extended family on the appointment.

"While the IEDPU believes strongly in your ability to hold the office, she supplicates to Allah to grant you the required strength, ability and wisdom to take NBC to greater heights during your tenure. Please accept the assurances of IEDPU NEC's highest regards".
