Shittu Tasks Muslims On Anti- Corruption War

Date: 2016-05-20

The Minister of Communication, Barrister Adebayo Shittu has asked Nigerian Muslims to take active part in the anti-corruption war of President Muhammadu Buhari .

He said this is necessary to bring about positive change in the country.

Shittu made the call while delivering a lecture titled "Islam, Muslims, Change: The Contending Issues" at a seminar organised by the Nigeria Association of Muslim Law Students (NAMLAS), University of Ilorin chapter.

The minister restated the determination of Buhari's administration to rid the country of corruption and other social ills.

He said that it is embarrassing that some Nigerians are parading themselves as Muslims and indulging in immoral acts such as corruption, theft and failed promises.

He noted that Muslims are endowed with knowledge and skills needed to propagate the words of Allah through their actions and deeds with aspiration of getting rewards in this world and hereafter.
