PDP urged to support Kwara gov't for development
The Speaker of Kwara State House of Assembly, Dr Ali Ahmad, has admonished opposition parties in the state to join hands with the All Progressives Congress (APC) with a view to further move Kwara to an enviable height.
Ahmad gave the admonition while reacting to the victory of the Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki at the Court of Appeal on a suit filed by opposition to challenge the judgment of the National Assembly Election Petition Tribunal which upheld his victory in the last general elections.
"It is a well-deserved victory and very much anticipated because the results are there for all to see that Senator Saraki was rightly voted for by his people," he said.
According to him, now that virtually all cases filed by opposition parties against those elected on the platform of APC have been thrown out, it is time they close ranks with APC for the benefit of Kwarans.
