Date: 2015-11-11

Governor Abdulfattah Ahmed of Kwara State yesterday disclosed that his administration has concluded arrangements to establish a 100 megawatts power project to ease the state of the epileptic power supply.

Ahmed made this disclosure in Ilorin yesterday during the swearing -in of the first batch of commissioners appointed at the government house.

"In this administration, the adopted strategy for achieving our lofty aspirations for the state and her people, is economic diversification through agribusiness, infrastructural development, foreign and local investment drive as well as sustained improvement in internally generated revenue.

With this in mind, work resumes this month on ongoing and new infrastructural projects. These projects will stimulate economic activities, put more money in people's pockets, enhance public welfare and provide the appropriate atmosphere for investment in-flow.
