Two brothers nabbed for robbery in Kwara

The Kwara State Police Command has arrested two brothers for allegedly attempting to disposes people around the Irewolede area of Ilorin, the state capital of their belongings.

The suspects identified as Damilola Abiodun and Ayeni Abiodun, attempted to rob one Ifeanyi Ihahi at Irewolede.

A police source said Ihahi was attacked while on his way to work at around 8:30am, adding that the two suspects asked him to surrender everything he had on him.

"Luckily for the victim, some policemen attached to Adewole Division were on patrol and they sighted Ifeanyi struggling with the two suspected robbers. The policemen were the ones who arrested the suspects," he said.

The state police command spokesperson, Ajayi Okasanmi, confirmed the arrest of the two alleged robbers.

"Two suspects, Damilola Abiodun and Ayeni Abiodun were arrested along Irewolede while attempting to rob one Ifeanyi. The suspects are being quizzed for now," Okasanmi said.
