Four students; Ridwan Dolapo 23, Awobusuyi Biola.25, Agbolahan Kamil.21, and Ayodeji.22, were yesterday arraigned before a Chief Magistrate's Court in Ilorin, Kwara State, for allegedly extorting students in Tanke Oke -Odo hostel Ilorin.

Police prosecutor, Inspector Azua, told the court that on March 8, the suspects went to Colony student hostel, Tanke Oke - Odo, Ilorin held the students hostage and dispossed them of valuable items including laptops, tablets phones, ordinary phones and N700,000,00 cash.

The suspects equally threatened the students with dangerous weapons. He added that the suspects were arrested during a meeting. The prosecution said investigation conducted revealed that the suspects belong to a secret cult. The suspects pleaded not guilty and Magistrate J.B. Salihu ordered their remand at Oke -Kura.
