The Kwara State elections petition tribunal has received five petitions, emanating from the conduct of the 2015 general elections, Daily Trust has learnt.

Among the petitions received, according to sources at the tribunal, was the one filed by the Africa Democratic Congress (ADC) challenging the election of Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed. The other four petitions were those of Kwara Central, Kwara South as well as two House of Representatives seats for Ifelodun/Offa/Oyun and Ekiti/Irepodun/Isin federal constituencies.

Candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) were challenging their All Progressives Congress (APC) counterparts who were declared winners in the elections.

Alhaji Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq is challenging the election of Senator Bukola Saraki for Kwara Central senatorial seat while Arch. Lola Ashiru disagreed with the declaration of Hon. Rafiu Ibrahim as the senator-elect.
