Nigeria, Morocco Row Unfortunate - Saraki

Date: 2015-03-16

Former governor of Kwara State and leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Bukola Saraki has said that the federal government must sanction its officials culpable in the row between Nigeria and Morocco.

Saraki, who described the situation as sad and unfortunate, noted that it has ridiculed the country.

Addressing newsmen in Ilorin, Saraki said, "It is very unfortunate because Nigeria is the largest economy on the continent. For its leader to get himself in this kind of issue, is very unfortunate. I am sure something must have happened for the King of Morroco to come out with a statement and again I am sure that at the end of the day, nobody would be held accountable. Somebody must have done something wrong somewhere".

"If the president is saying that he didn't speak with the Moroccan president, who is the person that came out to say that he spoke and he or she should be held accountable", he said.
