Presidential campaign rally: Kwara APC is jittery - Awoyale
Awoyale also disclosed that the party's chieftains are highly confused and disturbed at the alarming influx of Kwarans into the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, owing to their desire for positive change in the forthcoming governorship election. This was contained in a state issued in Ilorin? stressing that APC's campaign is characterized by sentiments and absolute cheap blackmails devoid of the true economic/ financial status of the state.
According to him, "It is saddening that since the commencement of campaigns, the APC government in Kwara State is yet to give an accurate stewardship of its leadership considering the fact it has failed the people of the state.
"It is also unwarranted and barbaric for any focused party to abandon policy oriented issues and continue to shower praises of ?an unreliable leader even in the face of accute suffering and abject poverty caused on the people by their bad leadership."
Awoyale further stressed that, "My major concern is that how would a sitting government engage in such a rigorous campaign and poster placement if really it has fulfill all its 2011 campaign promises?
"Without mincing words, such claims of delivery of campaign promises by Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed is nothing but a blatant lie and injustice on the people of the state. If all promises have been met, what is happening to the Share-Oke Ode- Igbaja road, the 200million revolving loans for Okada riders association, student scholarship/bursary, supports for students of Law School, promotion and workers' salaries increment among others. "
On President Goodluck Jonathan's campaign rally, Chief Awoyale condemned the APC's claims that it was a celebration of failure stressing that the party is jittery and advised its lobby groups to wake from their slumber.
He however described the rally as one of the good things that has ever happened to the party in the state maintaining that it was a clear testimony and indication that "Kwara is PDP and PDP is Kwara."
