Kwara Utd pip Plateau Utd to return second spot

Seventy six minute goal by first half substitute Hammed Jimoh was all Kwara United needed to amass the three maximum points against Plateau United in their week 27 National League encounter at the Kwara State Stadium Ilorin yesterday.

The visitors came with intent to draw positive result in Ilorin to overtake Kwara United in the race for promotion in the National League Group B.

Kwara United and the visitor were at par on points with Kwara United ahead on goal superiority before this game.

With this result, Kwara United maintained their second position on the log with 45 points.

Plateau United may slip to fourth position if Ranchers Bees of Kaduna win their home game against Spotlight in the week 27 encounter.

All teams in the National League have three games left to play in the season.
