INEC extends voters registration in Kwara.
A statement in Ilorin, signed by the commission’s State Director of Voter Education and Publicity, Mr Jacob Ayanda, said the exercise would begin on Sept. 22 to 27, at the local government area offices of the commission.
According to the statement, the phase two of the exercise which includes the state, was necessary because of widespread requests from Nigerians who were eager to register for future electoral processes.
It, however, noted that the extension was for only eligible individuals who had not registered before, adding that those whose Permanent Voter Cards were not printed should not re-register as their cards would be printed and distributed accordingly.
The statement also charged eligible voters, political parties and other stakeholders to be civil and orderly during the exercise.
It warned party agents not to foment trouble at the venue of the exercise and assured of the commission’s readiness to conduct a hitch-free exercise.(NAN)
