Presidential Adviser on National Assembly Matters, Senator Mokanjuola Sulaiman Ajadi, yesterday denied reports that he was working for the re-election of Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara State.

Ajadi, who is a chieftain of PDP in the state and governorship aspirant, described the report published in an online news platform, as baseless and a propaganda peddled "by unsound minds."

Speaking with Daily Trust in Ilorin, Ajadi said he could not imagine hobnobbing with the governor who dumped the PDP for the All Progressives Congress (APC) with his predecessor, Dr. Bukola Saraki.

The presidential aide who hails from the same Ifelodun Local Government as Ahmed said: "It is a baseless report and propaganda by unsound minds, because I remained in the PDP after they left. I was also appointed into public office by a PDP government and I'm now running for governorship under the PDP. How can anybody say that I am working for the incumbent governor?"

He accused politicians in the APC of sponsoring the report, saying, "I think that type of rumour is not worth a reply, but I don't want them to mistake my silence for acceptance. The rumour shows how confused and desperate the APC people are in Kwara State".

Ajadi added that to say that he is working for Ahmed's re-election because he is an Igbomina man is laughable and preposterous.
