Press Release: Kwara indigenes laud the return of Lai Mohammed as APC spokesman

Date: 2014-06-16

The election of Alhaji Lai Mohammed as the national publicity secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the just concluded national convention has been described as a collective victory to all members of the party in Kwara State in particular and Nigerian masses in general.

Kwara Unity Forum (KUF), a political group in a statement issued in Ilorin on Monday and signed by its secretary, Kayode Oyin -Zubair commended the leadership of the APC in Kwara State for evolving a seamless integration in the state which has started producing results.

The group specifically commended Senator Bukola Saraki and the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Alhaji AbdulFattah Ahmed for their sacrifices and commitments to the success of the first national convention of the APC.

Kwara Unity Forum added that the consistency of Lai Mohammed as a voice for the hapless in the last one decade deserves commendation and that accounted for his election into the substantive office having served meritiously in the interim executive.

It continued that Lai Mohammed has put in his best in the service to humanity in a selfless manner which made him a barrier breaker, saying he is a detribalized and religious tolerant Nigerian.

That many of his friends are Christians is not a coincidence at all; it is a lifestyle he has built for himself over the years. It may interest you to know that he is a very close friend of Rev. Dr. James Folaranmi, the immediate chairman of Nigeria Christian Association (CAN) Kwara State chapter.

He was invited to the opening ceremony and dedication of St. Cyprian Catholic Church Oro in April and true to type he attended personally- he waited patiently for a service lasted 5 hours.

The forum used the opportunity to pray God to continue to guide him in the new assignment as he consistently works on the side of the masses.
