Kwara State University to float television and radio station

The Kwara State University is set to float a television and radio station soon as the National Broadcasting Commission has approved the commencement of KWASU Television and Radio Stations services.

The Vice Chancellor of the institution, Professor AbdulRasheed Na'Allah, stated this in Malete while giving the breakdown of the graduating students at the second convocation press conference of the institution.

According to him, the University has acquired a land in Ilorin for Malete Film Village, pointing out that the institution is in process of securing licenses for the stations.

Na'Allah further revealed that three 349 students will be graduated by the Kwara State University, Malete, in the 2013/2014 academic session.

Out of the graduating students, two graduated with First Class degree, eighty-six with Second Class Upper degree, one hundred and ninety-three, Second Class Lower degree and Sixty-eight, Third Class degree.

Professor Na'Allah announced that the graduating students would be conferred and awarded with degrees in different fields of their studies on Saturday during the convocation ceremony of the University.

The Vice Chancellor also announced that the National Universities Commission had accredited all the courses and programmes of the College of Agriculture, and reaffirmed the determination of the University to continue to produce world class graduates.
