The management, governing council and staff of the Kwara State College of Nursing and Midwifery, Ilorin have expressed sincere gratitude to the state governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed for providing the college with the new 32-seater coaster bus.

This appreciation was contained in a press release signed by the Provost of the college, Alhaji Lawal Saliu Jimoh and made available to The Herald, even as he described the gesture as a step in the right direction.

Alhaji Jimoh who expressed delight over the timely intervention of the government, said the provision of bus could not come at a better time than now when the institution is battling with mobility problem.

The Provost affirmed that the gesture would go a long way at solving the problem of mobility in the college pointing out that the vehicle would be very helpful in terms of taking students to the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital (UITH) for practical and to some communities where they usually do community experience.

The statement also gave kudos to the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) Alhaji Isiaka Sola Gold and the Head of Service (HOS) Alhaji Muhammed Dabarako for the manner they are piloting the affairs of the state and urged them to continue in the same spirit in order to collectively move the state to the next level.

The provost particularly commended them for the active role they played towards the realization of the college's dream of getting functional new bus for the use of students and staff.

The institution therefore pledged its unalloyed support to the present administration in the state in its bid to move Kwara State to an enviable standard.
