No fewer than 6, 000 applicants have applied for 295 vacancies  at the headquarters of the North Western District of the Nigerian Railway Corporation, Minna.

The NRC District Public Relations Officer, Mr Sheriff Razaq, said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Minna.

He said the district would shortlist the names of qualified candidates soon while the date of the interview would be communicated to them.

“We have received a total of 6, 000 applications for 295 job vacancies advertised,” he said.

The spokesman said successful candidates in the interview would work in the three states of Niger, Kaduna and Kwara, which are all under the district.

Razaq said out of the 295 vacancies, the Operations and Commercial Department  of the corporation would absorb 82 new staff with a minimum qualification of secondary school certificate and maximum qualification of National Diploma.
