Mrs. Adeyemi, who distributed the items along with foodstuff to the beneficiaries in Ilorin, noted that her gesture was to complement the efforts of Kwara state government to reduce hardship being faced by women especially those that have lost their bread winners.

"Today, we are empowering over 30 widows to start a meaningful business so as to provide them with good source of livelihood to take care of their families and other dependants.

"As you can see, we have in place 40 brand new chillers or freezers to start a small business for each of the widows. This has huge multiplying effect in reducing poverty and high unemployment rate in our society.

"Our vision is in line with Federal Government and state government's plan to reduce poverty, unemployment and to enhance the socio-economic development of the sate through Private and Public Partnership Initiative (PPPI)".
