IEDPU welcomes Jawondo's elevation as SAN
The National President of Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU), Alhaji Aliyu Otta Uthman, (fsi); has joined other prominent individuals and organisations to congratulate the Attorney-General and Honourable Commissioner of Justice, Kwara State, Alhaji Salman Ayinla Jawondo, on his well-deserved elevation to the prestigious rank of a Senior Advocate of Nigeria.
Alhaji Uthman, in a statement signed on his behalf by the Union's National Publicity Secretary, Abubakar Imam, said that the organisation welcomed the elevation of the legal luminary to the pinnacle of his career, saying that the development is a product of hard work.
The community leader said that the honour conferred on the Ilorin-born legal luminary was long overdue considering his intellectual strength, professional competence, exemplary ethical dispositions and other wherewithal, which stand him out.
Alhaji Uthman explained that the elevation is a worthy addition to the pool of eminent senior lawyers of Ilorin Emirate origin and the community's general human resources; saying that the community, which produced its first SAN in 1985 through the late Mutawali of Ilorin and father of the current Governor of Kwara State,-Alhaji AbdulGaniyu Folorunsho AbdulRazaq (OFR), now has the record of being the home to twelve(12) distinguished Senior Advocates and an abode to several other outstanding silks who have found Ilorin as a home and are doing the community proud as well.
He added that the Union had followed the career of Alhaji Jawondo with consistent positive interest as he described him as a foremost patriot and distinguished professional, saying that it has been the informed conviction of the Union that he would surely attain the rank, which is reserved for highly accomplished legal practitioners.
While congratulating His Excellency the Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, on the progress recorded by a serving member of his cabinet; Alhaji Uthman also rejoiced with the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji(Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, who he described as a celebrated jurist, for producing another SAN among his subjects.
Alhaji Uthman urged the new silk not to rest on his oars but continue to work harder to justify his elevation to the pinnacle of his respected career by continuously serving to uphold the cause of justice and service delivery.
The retired senior intelligence luminary encouraged Alhaji Jawondo to continue to provide qualitative mentorship and inspirational leadership to younger lawyers, particularly those from Ilorin Emirate; so that the community would remain a bastion of legal practise and an abode of respectable lawyers and judicial officials it has always been for many generations.
The statement wished Alhaji Jawondo more fruitful and rewarding professional accomplishments.
