Kwara Holdings Identifies New Business Ideas
Harmony Holdings Limited, a company charged with the responsibility of managing the investments of Kwara State Government, said it will be innovative in order to remain in business and help the state.
Speaking at a mid-year budget retreat of the holdings, the Group Managing Director, Mr Tope Daramola, regretted that the performance of the company this year was not encouraging, stressing the need for workers to work harder.
It would be recalled that the company with over 20 subsidiaries including the Transport Corporation, Bureau of Lands, Diagnostic Centre, among others, said it made profit of N308m in 2013.
“The performance of institution like ours will always be measured in strict financial way. Hence, we must step up our result in the next four months,” he said.
Daramola observed that the major impediments of productivity were execution and implementation process across subsidiary companies, urging the companies to learn from their past mistakes. He charged subsidiaries to review and base the 2014 budget estimates in tune with the current realities.
