Dogo out to upset Kwara United
ABS coach, Kabir Dogo has said his side will show dominance over city rivals, Kwara United in the Glo Premier League Matchday 21 game on Sunday at the Kwara State Stadium, llorin.
Both sides shared honours in the first encounter hosted by ABS at the same venue.
Dogo said both sides are familiar foes but that his wards intend to beat their illustrious hosts for the three points at stake.
"We're not new to each other, we know ourselves very well but I think we need the points badly than them as victory will greatly assist us in our fight to climb out from the danger zone.
"It's a brotherly game which we expect the elder one who are untroubled at the moment to show compassion to the troubled sibling by allowing us to take the full points.
"Aside, we've shown dominance over them in the past we're working extremely hard to make sure the status quo remains unchanged at the end of the encounter.
"I know they're hungry for laurel in this season and will come all out for victory more so as they're the hosts but as I said we need the points more than them so it's left to us to up our game in other to grab the points.
"Another split points won't be in the least a bad result but we're determined to pick the maximum points," Dogo said to supersport.com.
Dogo said his side's hard-earned victory against Kaduna United on Matchday 20 has strongly boosted his wards' confidence heading into the grudge game against the Afonja Warriors.
"I thank the players for their spirited fight against Kaduna United by picking the maximum points, it's once again show our resolve to leave the danger zone.
"I sincerely hope the referees will demonstrate more resoluteness to be fair to all teams whether endowed or not so that the best will win irrespective where the game is played," he said.
ABS' victory against Kaduna United has shoot up their points haul to 25 from a possible 60 but they remain in the bottom four.
