Ikorodu City continued their dominance over Kwara United in the Euromatch NPFL by defeating their opponents 2-0 at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos in one of two Saturday's fixtures.

The Oga Boys pressed from the outset and their efforts paid off inside two minutes when their captain Farouk Salami headed them in front off Ujuwan Elijah's long throw-in.

Ikechukwu Junior doubled the lead for City at the 36-minute mark by heading in from close range via Olumide Akinwande's inch-perfect cross.

The Oga Boys went into the break with a comfortable and deserved lead and despite Kwara United head coach Ashifat Suleiman's best attempt in sending on the duo of Emmanuel Ekpeyong and Abdulsalam Abdulsalam at the start of the second half, the score remained the same.

Kwara United also finished the game with 10 men after Saheed Olaniyi was sent off for a second booking late in the game.

City head coach Bright Ozebagbe even handed academy graduate Basit Ayinde a league debut with three minutes to time as they saw out the contest to make it five unbeaten meetings against Kwara United (W3 D2).
