Former Kwara State lawmaker, Hon. Moshood Olanrewaju Bakare, has emerged as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the Ifelodun/Offa/Oyun Federal Constituency seat in the 2027 general elections.

Bakare, who hails from Ifelodun Local Government Area, confirmed his candidacy in a post on his Facebook page, calling on friends, supporters and well-wishers to join him with their prayers and support.

"Friends, I will be running to represent my people. Kindly join me in prayers and support. It's Official!!" he wrote.

Bakare previously represented Omupo Constituency in the Kwara State House of Assembly, where he served in several capacities, including as Chairman of the Finance and Appropriation Committee and the Public Accounts Committee.

His emergence as the PDP candidate is expected to further shape the political contest in the Ifelodun/Offa/Oyun Federal Constituency, which comprises Ifelodun, Offa and Oyun local government areas.

Bakare will be seeking to draw on his previous legislative experience as the 2027 electioneering season gathers momentum across Kwara State.
