FRSC Reports Ex-Kwara Legislator Christopher Ayeni's Perished in Highway Collision
As reported by Daily Post, details have surfaced about the tragic demise of former Kwara State lawmaker Christopher Ayeni, who was killed in a car crash on Thursday along the Ajasse-Ipo highway.
According to a statement from the Kwara State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ilorin, the incident happened around 10:10 am, with FRSC personnel reaching the scene by 10:25 am, approximately 500 metres from Igbaja Junction.
The FRSC confirmed the vehicles involved in the accident: a grey commercial truck with registration number T-17488LA and a white Toyota Hilux pickup.
Five persons, comprising three males and two females, all injured, were involved in the accident reportedly caused by overspeeding.
Items recovered included two Android phones, now with the federal road safety and two other bags with the Ajase police division.
The injured victims were taken to the Ajase Cottage Hospital for medical treatment, the statement added.
