Kwara United Secures Crucial 2-0 Victory Over Kano Pillars to Ease Relegation Worries
According to a news report from Informant247, kwara United delivered an impressive performance on Wednesday, securing a 2-0 victory over Kano Pillars in the Matchday 36 encounter of the 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) at the Main-Bowl of the Kwara State Stadium Complex, Ilorin.
A goal in each half ensured the Harmony Boys edged the Sai Masi Gida Boys. Ibrahim Dehinde scored a half-volley in the 27th minute, and defender Ejeh Isaiah converted a penalty in the 58th minute, winning maximum points for Kwara United and easing their relegation worries.
This win came at a crucial time as the league nears completion, with Kwara United needing stability on the log amid mounting pressure. The victory places Kwara United in 11th position with 48 points, distancing them from the relegation zone.
Coach Kabir Sulaiman Dogo described the win as a significant relief, especially at this critical moment. He assured that the team would give its utmost in the remaining two matches against Lobi Stars in Lafia on Saturday, and Heartland FC at home in Ilorin for the final match of the season.
