AbdulRazaq visits family home of late Kwara's ex-MILAD Latinwo in Offa
•Says Latinwo's legacies everlasting
Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on Wednesday paid a condolence visit to the family of ex-military administrator (MILAD) of the state, retired Group Captain Salaudeen Adebola Latinwo who died last Saturday.
Born in Offa, Kwara State, the late Latinwo was the military administrator for Kwara between January 1984 and August 1985.
The Governor was received in Offa by the Latinwos and some APC chieftains, including former Commissioner for Energy Hon. Femi Whyte Agbaje.
In a brief speech to the family, AbdulRazaq said Captain Latinwo paid his dues for the country and the state as a military officer and administrator, adding that his footprints will continue to be fresh in memory.
"On behalf of the state government, we commiserate with you over the death of the late administrator. He served the nation as an officer, and he also served the state as a Governor. His legacies are there forever," he said.
"What we can say is that may Allah grant him Al-jannah Firdaus. Those of us that he left behind, especially the immediate and extended family, may Allah give us the fortitude to bear the loss."
The Governor thereafter signed the condolence register at the family house.
Alhaji Lateef Latinwo, a younger brother of the deceased who spoke on behalf of the family, thanked AbdulRazaq for the visit and the support they so far enjoyed from the administration.
The visit to the Latinwos occurred a few hours after the Governor received the remains of Nigeria's Ambassador to France Kayode Laro at the General Tunde Idiagbon International Airport Ilorin, followed by the burials at the house of the late envoy in the capital city.
