Unuanel Committed to Winning Titles

Date: 2012-11-06

Kwara United technical adviser, Samson Unuanel said he will win title for the side in the coming 2012/2013 NPL season.

The new helmsman and his wards on Monday started a two-week closed camp in Shagamu, Ogun State aimed at shaping the team for the league hostilities.

Supersport.com learnt that 13 old players have been placed in the transfer market while the last ship out would be made public at the end of the two-week camping exercise.

Unuanel said he has received adequate support he needs to succeed in his new assignment at the Afonja Warriors.

"Every good coach will want to win the title with his team and if the management charge the coach to win the title they're merely reinstating the obvious.

"What I have in mind is to win titles at Kwara United, everybody has been receptive and cooperative since my arrival and I think that's the tool I need to succeed in the new task.

"The final shape of the players for the 2012/2013 league season will be clearer by this time next week. The weeding out has started with the old players and we're continuing with the new ones we invited for trials.

"Kwara United will be the team to beat in the upcoming league season," said the former Ocean Boys' manager to supersport.com.

Unuanel, an assistant coach of the Super Falcons, succeeded coach Tunde Sanni who steered the side campaign in the out gone 2011/2012 NPL season finishing on 53 points from 36 matches.
