...COMMENDS AGIP FOR THE CONSTRUCTION

The Kwara State Government today Commissioned the Koro Primary Health Care (PHC) Centre which was recently constructed by AGIP Oil Nigeria Limited.

Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Raji Razaq commended AGIP Oil for its efforts and commitment in building an ultramodern health facility to serve Koro and nearby communities.

"This is can only be described as service to humanity. This is an action which the Governor of Kwara State is also happy about. Your impact will further boost the health care delivery system in the State", he said.

Dr. Raji rated the PHC as one of the best primary care centres across the 16 Local Government Areas in the State.

He thanked AGIP for doing a good job and for providing quality equipment in the newly constructed primary health care centre, urging the Koro Community to make judicious use of the centre.

The Commissioner also elaborated on the role of the State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on the ongoing massive renovation of Primary Health Care Centres across the three Senatorial Districts.

Dr. Raji, who assured the neighbouring Communities to expect government's intervention soon, also charged AGIP Oil and other philanthropists to join hands in ensuring that development reach the grassroots.

The representative of AGIP Exploration Ltd, Mr. Etim Okypoyo thanked the state government for providing land to actualize the construction of the primary health centre.

The traditional ruler of Koro, Oba Peter Aremu implored the state government to further support the community in the supply of necessary equipment and drugs to ensure effective service delivery.

The Chairman of Koro Community Development Association, Pastor Joshua Akinola also appreciated AGIP Group in making healthcare accessible to the people of Koro Community.
