Kwara 2019: Old Motor Spare Parts Dealers Pledge to Support Ali Ahmad as Governor

Members of the Kwara State Old Motor Spare Parts Dealers Association, totalling over 10,000, have pledged to work for the emergence of the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Dr Ali Ahmad, as the touch bearer of the Peoples Democracy Party, in the next year's governorship election in the state.

The Association gave the assurance in Ilorin,while receiving the Speaker and his entourage, at its old motor spare park market Jengbe in Ilorin.

Members of the Association, who came out in thousands, received the visibly elated Speaker and his entourage, with pomps and peagentry and shouts of " Ali Dodo,you are the only candidate who can move the state to greater heights".

Speaking on behalf of other members, the Chairman of the Association, Alhaji Baba Alapa, disclosed that the entire members, had resolved to support his candidature, in view of his antecedents and record of achievements, both as Speaker and member of the National Assembly.

Alhaji Baba Alapa, explained that the state House of Assembly under his watch, had on several occasions, demonstrated listening ears and responded to travails and yearnings of his members, pointing out that the state will be in safe hands,if Dr Ali Ahmad emerged as the PDP candidate and governor of the state .

Responding the Speaker, who addressed the teeming crowd on top of a vehicle, due to the large turn out, promised to continue to devote his time and resources towards serving the masses and to make people, the focus of his government,if given the opportunity,to serve the State.

He then called on the people of the state, to continue to support the party, under the leadership of the Senate President,Dr. Bukola Saraki, pointing out that the PDP-led government in the state, will continue to be more responsive to the needs of the people of the state.
