As part of measures to improve standard of education, the President of the Senate, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has concluded plans to distribute educational materials across schools in Kwara State.

The distribution exercise would be performed by Abubakar Bukola Saraki (ABS) Mandate Constituency office where schools are expected to benefit from thousands of school materials.

Materials expected for distribution include laboratory equipment, books, school furniture, computer sets and generators among others.

The Director General of ABS Mandate office, Alhaji Musa Abdullahi, who disclosed this in an interview with Journalists in Ilorin yesterday, said the exercise, which is at the instance of the federal government's Universal Basic Education Constituency project, is facilitated by the Senate President with the aim of improving the standard of education in the state.

Beside education materials, Abdullahi informed that 52 schools were benefiting from the construction of new ultramodern classrooms across Kwara Central Senatorial District.

He expressed the commitment of the President of the Senate to improve standard of education in the state, particularly his constituency.

The ABS Director General, who explained that a lot of developmental programmes had been earmarked for the good of people of the state, implored Kwarans to continue to support Saraki to attract more projects to the state.

Abdullahi said the Mandate office would not rest on its oars to ensure that it designs that would have direct impact on the lives of the people.

He assured that the present government in the state would continue to listen to the yearnings and aspirations of the people, particularly those at the grassroot.
