The Emir of llorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari has charged lslamic preachers in Nigeria to use their preaching for the promotion of Islamic values and peaceful coexistence in the society.

The monarch gave the charge in his Palace on Friday while receiving members of Markaz Alumni Association, Agege in Lagos state led by its new National President, Dr. Yusuf Kolawole Jumah.

The royal father noted that there cannot be meaningful development in all spheres of life without peace, unity and love among the residents of various ethnic groups and religions.

"Peaceful co-existence should always be paramount in your minds since no development could be attained in an atmosphere of chaos and acrimony " the traditional ruler said.

Sulu-Ganbari advised members of alumni to use the knowledge acquired from the Institution to intensify on importance of peace in their preaching wherever they find themselves.

The monarch eulogised the giant strides of the founder of Markaz Agege in Lagos state, late shaykh Adam Abdullah Alilory towards promotion of Arabic and Islamic learning in Yoruba land in particular and Nigeria in general.?

Sulu-Gambari called on all the products of Markaz to support the new president of the alumni association for the progress and development of their alma mata. The emir acknowledged the efforts of mudir markaz, shaykh Habeebulahi Adam Al-ilory in upholding the legacies of Shaykh Adam especially in the area of uplifting Markaz and propagation of lslam.
