Emirate Youth Empowers Women and Students in Hundreds

The Ilorin Emirate Youth Development Association (IEYDA) in their usual way empowered hundreds of youth and women across the five LG areas of the Ilorin Emirate community to reduce poverty and unemployment within the Emirate.

This year's programme was the third of it kind where succor was given to the downtrodden and less the privileged. Aside the Small and medium scale enterprises, the association has carefully selected indigent students from the nock and cranny of the five LG areas of the emirate for free SSCE and JAMB registration.

The President, IEYDA, Alhaji Abdullah Babatunde, in his opening speech, thank God almighty for standing by the association and for the divine guidance for the executives in piloting the affairs for many years and still waxing stronger. He equally appreciated the support of every member and various other community associations in their strives in moving the association forward.

The President took his time to educate the audience and their guests on the activities of the association and means of sourcing for fund which he affirmed that come from private individuals within the Ilorin Emirate both home and abroad.

The guest lecturer, Alhaji Ustaz, Muritador Ottan, glorified almighty Allah and called on the well to do in the society to give back to the community that produced them. He emphasized strongly that giving lawfully doesn't end wealth but purifies it.

The Chairperson of the occasion, Hajia Sadat Moronike Hassan, the CEO Mustoy Films Production, who was represented by Alhaja Nimota Sulayman Awodi, felt elated for the opportunity to chair the occasion and promised to always make use of this platform to give back to his community.

The association specially appreciated Alhaji Idris Amosa, and Alhaji Toyin Muhammed Adebayo Baboko for their steadfastness and support at all times.

The high point of the occasion was the donation and presentation of materials and cash support to the beneficiaries. Guests that were present or represented donated handsomely to the course and were happy young guys of their age could think on ways to make people self reliance and give them means of sustainability.

Items and cash support worth millions of naira were distributed for hundreds of beneficiaries and the beneficiaries were happy and went home smiling.

Alhaji Uthman Mohammad Jagunmon, the PRO of the Ilorin Emirate Youth Development Association (IEYDA) appreciated their various donors for their materials and cash donations. He, on behalf of IEYDA, thanked the support of the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari (CFR) Shehuuuuu, the Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki (CON), HE the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed, DG NBC, Mallam Isiaq Madibo Kawu, the Speaker Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ali Ahmad, Kwara South Senator, Dr. Rafiu Adebayo Ibrahim, Hon. Mashood Mustapha, Hon. Ali Ahmad Patigi, Hon. Abubakar Amuda Kanike, VC University of Ilorin, Prof Abdulganiy Ambali (OON), and other IEYDA Board of Trustees Members.

Others are Alhaji Abdulwahab Yusuf, CoS KWST Govt House, Hon. Musa Abdullah, Alhaji Abdulrauf Akogun, Hon. Kayode Omotoshe, Hon. Sulayman Atolagbe Alege, Alhaja Ramata Ayoola, wife of Mallam Luqman Mustapha and others too numerous to mention.
