Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Dr. Ali Ahmad has felicitated with Christians in the country as they celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, urging them to use the festive season to pray fervently for the nation to overcome its present challenges.

The Speaker, in a Christmas message issued by his Special Assistant on Media, Shuaib Abdulkadir also called on Christians to continue living harmoniously with adherents of other religions.

Ahmad said while celebrating, Christians must never forget the essence and lessons of Christmas by always reflecting on the teachings of the Messiah who paid the ultimate price for mankind's benefit with his life. He ?further admonished them to mould their lives after Jesus Christ, show love to people around them and be their brothers keepers at all times.

The Speaker however reiterated the 8th Assembly's commitment to Kwarans welfare and pledged to further collaborate with the Executive in order to make the State a cynosure of all eyes.c
