He said that details and timing of the Eid prayer will be released by the Committee set up by the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari. The SSG also urged the public to ignore recent negative pronouncements regarding the forthcoming Eid prayer, which tended to portray certain individuals and community's as perpetrators of disorder, stressing the government has no information linking anyone with with plans to disrupt the peace.

Alhaji Gold assured that the State government will do everything possible to uphold the rights of all citizens and residents of Kwara to worship in an atmosphere of peace and security, and within the ambit of the law.
