Date: 2016-08-14

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara North chapter has inaugurated a 5-man Senatorial Working Committee for the party. The Senatorial Working Committee inaugurated included Alhaji Kolo Mohammed, Secretary; Alhaji Adamu Bani, Treasurer; Hon Ibrahim Yinusa, Legal Adviser; Alhaji Ibrahim Mazuma Kawu, Organizing Secretary and Alhaji Babatunde Y, P.R.O. The inauguration ceremony which took place at Bode Saadu, the headquarters of Moro Local Government, attracted party leaders, members and supporters in the state.

Speaking at the event, the Chairman of the APC in the state, Hon Ishola Balogun-Fulani charged the new executives to justify the confidence reposed on them by putting the interest of the party first in their undertakings. He said the senatorial working committee was inaugurated in line with the constitution of the party to ensure smooth running of party's activities at the senatorial level.

Balogun-Fulani used the occasion to dismiss rumour of rancour between the Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki and Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed, saying that the rumour was a mere imagination of enemy of progress. According to him "we have the leader and every one of us believe in him and our governor is an amiable, performing governor without abandoned projects. We believe that where there is rancour, there will not be progress. With their togetherness, it brings rapid development to the state.

And that is why I have the gut to say there is no wrangling between them. They are just like five and six. They are brothers". Speaking at the inauguration, the Deputy Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Hon Mathew Okedare urged the newly inaugurated executives to place the party's interest above personal interest in their assignment.

Hon Okedare who represents Lanwa/Ejidongari Constituency of Moro Local Government, restated the loyalty of members of the APC in the district to the leadership of the party in the state.
