Kwara Governor, Wife Laud Adimula's Commitment To Educational Development
The Kwara State Governor, Dr Abdulfatah Ahmed, on Thursday, commended Barrister Biola Adimula for her continuous commitment towards educational development in Kwara state.
The Governor, who was represented by the Kwara state commissioner for education, Alhaji Musa Yeketi made this known during a school support programme organized by Women and Child Watch Initiative in Odo Owa, Oke Ero Local Government Area of Kwara state.
The initiative identified seventy (70) selected pupils (identified to be in need) of seven public primary schools (including the nomadic school) in Odo-Owa to receive school uniforms and other educational materials.
Speaking at the event, Kwara education commissioner, Alhaji Musa Yeketi described the gesture as that which is worthy of emulation by others. Yeketi applauded Adimula for her consistent commitment to educational development.
"Barrister Biola Adimula has been very committed to educational development across Kwara. She started Spelling Bee Competition which has significantly transformed education standard and brought glory to Kwara; for the record, one of the brilliant students on the Spelling Bee platform won a bus for Kwara state at a national competition, she is also at a well rated University in the United States today" he said.
In a similar development, the wife of the Kwara state Governor, who was represented also commended Adimula's gesture, calling other stakeholders across the state to dedicate effort in advancing sectors of interest to them.
The initiative in its series will assist pupils of under privileged parents in the community, discharge community service to the people, serve as an avenue to give back to the community some of the privileges gained in life and to support the work of the government in the spirit of Public Private Partnership (PPP), among others.
The event was also witnessed by the Chairperson of Oke Ero Local Government and other stakeholders in the state.
