KWHA Confirms Commissioner-Nominees

The Kwara State House of Assembly has confirmed ten names forwarded to it by the State Governor Alhaji AbdulFatah Ahmed as Commissioners in the state.

The confirmation was preceded by thorough screening of nominees by the lawmakers.

The nominees were Engr. Musa Ayinla Yeketi from Asa, Engr. Idris Garba from Baruteen, Otunba Taiwo Joseph, Ekiti, Alhaji Aro Yahaya, Ifelodun, Barrister AbdulRasaq Sheu Akorede, Ilorin West, Barrister Kamaldeen Ajibade Ilorin West, Engr Demola Banu, Irepodun, Hajia Funmilayo Oniwa, Moro and Mahmud Babatunde Ajeigbe Offa Local Government Area.

The Speaker had while considering the confirmation of the nominees at the Committee of the whole expressed delight over the quality of questions that emanated from members.

Most of the nominees had during the screening promised to add value to governance by putting their experiences and knowledge into bear .

The screening exercise which attracted notable members of the society saw nominees answering questions ranging on issues that will enable the State government to consolidate on its performance in the task of governance in the State.
