HOS reassures workers of prompt salary payment
The Kwara State Head of Service (HoS) Alhaji Dabarako Mohammed has reassured workers in the State of government's determination to continue to pay civil servants their monthly salary as and when due.
The assurance was given during a courtesy visit to his office by members of the newly constituted Executive members of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) in the state led by Comrade Yekeen Agunbiade.
The number one Civil Servant in the State who requested for the Cooperation of Labour said government would do everything possible to make workers happy by paying their salary as at when due.
On the requests put forward by the NLC during May Day, HoS said government is looking into the request especially the share certificate that is yet to be through adding that the issue of FADAMA was addressed with a particular reference to those with agricultural bias.
Earlier, NLC Chairman, Comrade Alhaji Yekeen Agunbiade solicited Government support for the new EXCOS with a pledge to explore the possibility of dialogue rather than strike in resolving issues with government.
Comrade Agunbiade who promised to cooperate with the State Government and requested the State Government to look into SUBEB and Local Government salary payment with a view to assist them.
