Kwara PDP Rates Jonathan High On Elections

Date: 2015-04-17

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State has commended President Goodluck Jonathan for conducting free, fair, credible, acceptable and violence-free elections.

The state Chairman of the party, Mr. Akogun Iyiola Oyedepo, awarded Jonathan pass mark, while appearing on Radio Nigeria's Harmony FM, 'Idofian Live' programme, titled: "PDP on the Move."

Oyedepo, who appeared on the programme with the Publicity Secretary of the party in the state, Dr. Rex Olawoye, noted that Jonathan had delivered on his promises to lay a solid foundation of credible elections processes in Africa.

According to Akogun, over 2,300 election petitions and a gale of violence trailed the 2007 general elections conducted by former president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo.
