Kwara: 78 students write exam for foundation's free JAMB forms
No fewer than 78 students in Asa and Ilorin west local government area of Kwara state Sunday sat for screening examination to qualify them for free JAMB forms being offered by Serve Africa foundation in collaboration with Bolaji Lawal group.
The screening examinations were held in two centres namely Banni community secondary school, Ilorin and Government secondary school, Alapa, in Asa local government area.
Before the commencement of the screening exams held at the Ilorin centre, Serve Africa foundation had presented a dummy check of N100,000 to its student Ambassador, Abdulkadir Abdulwakik Olayinka, to serve as inspiration for others.
Olayinka, a 100 level student of Nile university, Abuja is on 100 % scholarship haven scored 345 in the last Unified Tertiary Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination conducted in Nigeria.
He attended Tulip International College Kaduna with full scholarship of over N12 million.
Applicants from 12 wards of Ilorin west local government toped the number of applicants for the screening with over 68 prospective university students sitting for the examination.
Addressing the applicants before the comencement of the examination, Olayinka admonished the prospective university students to remain focused in their studies saying, “Achieving an excellent score in JAMB is not impossible.”
Founder Serve Africa foundation, Hon. Bolaji Lawal, said the free JAMB distribution was being carried out to assist brilliant and less priviledged students to achieve their dreams of furthering their education.
