Traditional Rulers Are Agents of Stabilization - Atunwa
The Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly Barrister Razak Atunwa made this observation in Patigi during a courtesy call on the Etsu Patigi Alhaji Ibrahim Chatta Umar in his palace.
Barrister Atunwa who is also the Director-General of APC Campaign Organization in the State noted with delight that Traditional Institution in the State had been pillar of support to the State Government.
The Speaker who said no meaningful development would be achieved in an atmosphere of rancour and acrimony praised Traditional Rulers in the State for being agents of stabilisation and assured that APC led Government would continue to accord them deserved recognition to further enhance their wellbeing.
He urged the people of the State to vote massively for the APC in the next Saturday's general elections to further make democracy more meaningful to them.
Responding the Etsu of Patigi Alhaji Ibrahim Chatta Umar observed with delight that the State had witnessed infrastructural development within the last one decade and enjoined the State Government to consolidate on his performance to further enhance the wellbeing of the people of the State.
The Etsu of Patigi who is also the State Vice Chairman of the State Council of Chiefs lauded the Speaker for his leadership quality and expressed confidence that he would be a worthy representative if elected in to the National Assembly.
The Speaker was accompanied to the Palace by a Member of House of Representatives representing Patigi/Edu/Moro Constituency Alhaji Aliu Ahman Patigi, the Deputy Speaker Kwara State House of Assembly Prof Mohammed Gana Yisa, the State Head of Service Alhaji Dabarako Mohammed, Principal Officers and Members of the State House of Assembly and Members of the State Executive Council.
