Ahmed moves to extend KWASU VC's tenure

Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara State has presented Abubakar Sola Saraki University ASSU Amendment Bill, 2014 before the state House of Assembly.

The amendment portion according to the governor's message read at yesterday's plenary by the Speaker, Barrister Razak Atunwa, seeks to amend the provision relating to the tenure of office of the Vice Chancellor of University.

This, according to the governor was to ensure that solid foundation is laid to guarantee sustainable growth of the university.

He urged the House to give the bill the desired attention.

The Speaker later committed the bill to House Committee on Rules and Business to table the progress of the bill.
