Kwara House condemned Rivers House fracas
The Speaker Kwara State House of Assembly, Barrister Razak Atunwa, has condemned the Tuesday's fracas at the Rivers State House of Assembly, describing it as gross democratic degeneration.
The Speaker, who spoke in his office during a courtesy visit paid to him by the Executives of the State Chapter of Congress of Nigeria's Political Parties (CNPP), noted that such crisis was a slippery slope to anarchy. He however cautioned politicians from taking to violence as means of resolving crisis.
According to him, where ever there is a political difference, dialogue is the only solution such political differences.
Meanwhile, Barrister Atunwa equally admonished Nigerians to shun acts of hooliganism, thuggery, greed, inordinate ambition and other acts capable of derailing the Nation`s democratic practice.
Earlier, the CNNP Chairman, Hon. Adebayo Akanbi Lawal, who led six-man executives, commended the state parliament, urged the legislature to continue to dish out people-oriented legislations that will ensure dividends of democracy
