My son is not dead, we need government intervention; Father of shot Kwara poly student says
Contrary to the news report released by some media that Ahmed Adewale a student of Kwara State polytechnic of accounting department with matric Number ND/12/Acct/PT/212 was incidentally shot dead by police, the father of the student, Mr Miniru Adewale has confirmed that his son is alive and responding to treatment.
Royal Times correspondent who visited the patient reports that the parent, Mr Adewale said the state commissioner of Police has sent a delegate to the hospital.
He, however, called on state government, well-meaning Nigerians to come to their aid, noting that the family lacked the capacity to afford the bill.
He commended the students of the Polytechnic for their love, but lamented that his son his not dead contrary to media report.
Also the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital (UITH) also confirmed that Adewale who was incidentally shot by Police escort attached to one of the leading banks is fast recovering in the hospital.
The Director Corporate Affairs who spoke with our correspondent appealed to students of the institution to remain calm as the student is alive and responding.
Royal Times reporter who visited the clinic reports that the student was interacting with his family members.
